Job summary

Coweta County Commissioners' 911 dispatch team seeks a Grade 10 Emergency Dispatcher to answer calls, dispatch responders, and maintain CAD data for accurate incident records in Newnan, GA.

Responsibilities include monitoring radios, coordinating EMS, fire, and law enforcement units, and providing NCIC/GCIC information when needed while upholding excellent customer service during high-stress situations.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential functions with reasonable accommodations.
• High school diploma or GED required; experience helpful.
• Knowledge of emergency communication procedures and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Operates emergency communication system; answers calls and dispatches personnel and equipment.
• Monitors field units via radio; coordinates EMS, fire and law enforcement responses.
• Enters data and maintains logs in CAD system; prepares reports.
• Provides information from NCIC/GCIC systems to law enforcement as needed.
• Promotes excellent customer service and public safety communications.
