Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Must pass pre-employment skills assessment and be 18 years old at hire.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls and input data into the CAD system.
  • Provide lifesaving and pre-arrival instructions to callers in medical emergencies.
  • Coordinate dispatch to appropriate units and relay information to responders and the public.
  • Enter and retrieve data in the CAD system and assist callers with transactions and information.
  • Testify in court as required and ensure accuracy of call recordings.
