Responsibilities

• Determine call significance and allocate appropriate police resources.
• Collaborate with supervisors to monitor police response.
• Operate CADS and related terminals.
• Monitor location/status of all officers on patrol.
• Analyze data and assign, broadcast, and monitor police calls per emergency type.
• Maintain current status of field units and update dispatch information.
• Notify and receive information from other divisions/ agencies to share promptly.
• Inform field officers of major incidents or hazards for safety.
• Operate dispatch hardware and software to efficiently deploy officers.
• Provide real-time incident updates to first responders.
• Access law enforcement databases for critical information.
• Analyze response plans, coordinate with patrol and specialized units, and assess resources.
• Support field troops and interpret information to ensure safety.
• Remain calm in inclement weather and handle 24/7 operations.
