Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a dedicated 911 Call Analyst I to serve as the first point of contact for emergency and non-emergency requests. You will assess caller information, operate emergency communications tech, and determine appropriate responses to protect citizens and responders.

Responsibilities include interviewing callers, maintaining calm under pressure, and supporting dispatch with accurate data entry, while working in a 24/7 dispatch center with varied shifts and overtime when

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Two years of customer service experience, including heavy phone contact in an emergency call center or related role.
Must obtain NCIC/TCIC/CJIS certification during probation and renew annually.
Must obtain Basic Telecommunicator License from TCOLE within probation.
Must be a United States citizen.

Responsibilities

Receive and evaluate emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS, transferring as appropriate.
Use 911 systems and computer-aided dispatch tools to analyze calls and incidents.
Determine call priority and apply department policies to ensure safe, prompt response.
Interview callers to obtain vital information and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Work in a 24x7 emergency call center and be prepared for overtime during incidents or severe weather.
