Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is seeking an ED Technician to support the emergency department team. You will participate in clinical patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, and provide care to patients across age groups.

Qualified candidates hold a Georgia EMT certification (or NREMT intermediate) or are nursing students with clinical rotations; in lieu of EMT, related patient care experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia EMT Certification or NREMT (intermediate) is required.
• Nursing student with at least one semester of acute care clinicals is acceptable.
• In lieu of EMT, two years of patient care tech/ER tech experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Assist in clinical patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care as assigned.
• Collaborate with health care team to support workflows.

Responsibilities

The ED Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Possess the knowledge and ability to provide care to the age specific population to which assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications
