Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking an Emergency Department RN to provide professional nursing care in the ED for patients of all ages. The nurse triages, prioritizes care, stabilizes patients, initiates treatment, and facilitates discharge or transfer as needed.

Required are an active Missouri RN license and timely completion of essential certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC). Clinical leadership, communication, and multitasking are valued in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• RN license active in Missouri
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 12 months of hire
• PALS within 12 months of hire
• ENPC within 12 months of hire
• TNCC within 12 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the ED during the acute phase of illness or trauma
• Triage and determine priority of care based on patient needs
• Stabilize patients and initiate treatment
• Discharge patients after ED care or arrange longer hospital stays
