Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in North Carolina seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The 32-bed unit offers 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling, and every-other-weekend rotation to support work-life balance.

Candidates should hold an active NC RN license; BLS is required within 30 days, ACLS/PALS within six months, and ED experience of 2+ years. Bachelor's degree (BSN) is preferred but not required; the hospital provides comprehensive benefits and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required; licensure updated if relocating before employment begins.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• Two+ years RN ED experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Documents medical necessity accurately in the medical record.
• Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.
