Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lake Pointe Rowlett seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The unit serves pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with a patient ratio of 1:4-5 and about 100 daily visits.

Full-time evenings, 20-bed ED, Level III trauma center, Chest Pain and Stroke center designations; must have 2+ years ED RN experience and hold RN licensure. Shore up patient care, collaborate with the team, and support community health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN license.
• BLS required; TNCC and ENPC preferred or obtained within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care in the ED using a professional practice model.
• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and develop care plans.
• Educate patients and families; document learning needs and outcomes.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate with the care team to ensure safety and efficiency.
