Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lake Pointe in Rowlett, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The unit handles pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with a 1:4-5 ratio and about 100 patients daily, including 20–30 EMS arrivals.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of recent ED RN experience, and hold active RN licensure with BLS; TNCC and ENPC preferred. This role offers evenings and a pathway to Magnet designation as we grow.

Qualifications

• Grad of Accredited Program
• RN License required
• 2+ years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire
• TNCC within 18 months of hire or transfer
• ENPC within 18 months of hire or transfer

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and create care plans.
• Prioritize patient and family needs and document learning needs.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members on care plans.
• Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe and effective patient care.
