Job summary

107 The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool. This full-time position offers 36 hours weekly with 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and the flexibility to float to Atrium Health Union, Union West, Waxhaw ED, and Anson as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Certification / Registration / License: Basic Life Support (BLS) and RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing care.
• Experience: Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Strong clinical judgment, time management, communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Maintains safety culture and up-to-date EHR documentation; may float to other units as needed.
