Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner (RN) to advance learners' competence within the Nursing Professional Development framework. You will support onboarding, transition to practice, and ongoing education in a busy ED with regional scope.

You will collaborate with Emergency Department leadership, promote policy standardization, and participate in simulation-based education and mentorship for nursing staff at Hartford HealthCare.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, enrolled in a Master's program with degree completion within two years of hire date.
One degree must be in Nursing.
Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience.
One year of teaching or nursing development experience preferred.
Current Connecticut nursing license; BLS required.

Responsibilities

Influence learner competence within Nursing Professional Development and growth.
Collaborate with ED leadership to support competency management and education.
Foster onboarding, orientation, and transitions to practice for Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
Promote policy standardization and evidence-based practice across the ED.
Lead or participate in simulation, mentorship, and educational initiatives.
