Hartford Hospital is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner (RN) to influence learner growth and nurse competency within the Emergency Department and across Hartford HealthCare. You will support educational initiatives, standardize policy, and partner with ED leadership to advance practice excellence.

The role emphasizes onboarding, transition-to-practice, and ongoing professional development for colleagues in a high-acuity, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree in progress with completion within 2 years; one degree must be in Nursing.
Minimum 3 years of acute care experience; 1 year teaching experience preferred.
Current Connecticut nursing license; BLS required.

Responsibilities

Support learners within Nursing Professional Development scope and standards.
Influence competency management, clinical nursing education, and ongoing professional development.
Collaborate with Emergency Department nursing leadership to standardize policies and onboarding.
Promote practice excellence and alignment with Hartford HealthCare system across departments.
