Hartford Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking an experienced Nursing Professional Development Practitioner. The RN will influence learner growth, support onboarding, and advance nursing education within the Emergency Department and across the Hartford HealthCare system.

The role focuses on competency management, policy standardization, and professional development, collaborating with ED leadership to foster excellence in patient care and staff growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master’s in progress with completion within two years of hire.
• One degree must be in Nursing; clinical competence across assignment areas.
• Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience; nursing professional development preferred.
• Current Connecticut nursing license; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Influence professional role competence and learner growth within NPD practice.
• Collaborate with Emergency Department nursing leadership for competency management.
• Support onboarding, orientation, and transition to practice for Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
• Promote policy standardization and evidence-based practice across the system.
