RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner/Nurse Educator for the Emergency Department at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. This full-time daytime role focuses on planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating education and training for hospital staff.

The position requires a BSN, active NJ RN license, BLS, and preferred NPD-BC or MSN/DNP/post-master's certs. Prior ED-education and healthcare teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Covering the Emergency Department as assigned.
Provide orientation, in-service training, and continuing education.
Develop, implement, and validate competencies.
Demonstrate effective teaching using instructional methods.
Apply adult learning theory to programs.
Mentor nursing staff on quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
Maintain simulation labs/equipment and develop simulations.
Analyze learning needs from data and trends.
