Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Manager, Emergency Department to oversee daily ED operations, nursing care delivery, and staff management. You will lead a team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and align with organizational goals.

Collaborate with leadership and physicians to improve patient flow, bed management, and regulatory compliance while guiding staff development and performance.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in a closely related field are required.
• 2-4 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Google and Microsoft platforms, healthcare software systems, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ED operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality, compassionate care.
• Supervise nursing and support staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and policies.
• Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to meet quality, safety, patient experience, and financial goals.
• Coordinate patient throughput and bed management with physicians and hospital departments to reduce delays in care.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and staffing issues, providing decisive leadership under pressure.
