Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist to support the Emergency Department. The CNPS will apply advanced nursing knowledge, mentor staff, and promote evidence-based care across shifts.

The role emphasizes education, clinical leadership, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. This position is full-time with flexible hours to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in nursing is required.
• Illinois RN license is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred and must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital/medical center setting.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical nursing expertise and advanced assessment in the nursing specialty.
• Assess and identify education needs for role development through observation and feedback.
• Support and guide staff in developing or modifying patient care plans.
• Identify unit staff needs by collecting and analyzing data to evaluate issues and outcomes.
• Lead quality initiatives and drive process improvements.
• Serve as a source of evidence-based, cost-effective nursing practices and regulatory standards.
• Evaluate outcomes of nursing practice changes and new evidence for clinical application.
• Lead technology/product integration to promote safety, quality, and health outcomes.
• Collaborate on development of policies, procedures, and protocols to sustain change in units.
• Participate in Shared Decision-Making Councils.
