Edward Elmhurst Health in Naperville, IL is seeking an experienced RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist to support Med-Surg. This full-time role focuses on applying evidence-based nursing practices, education, consultation, and system-wide quality improvement to improve patient outcomes.

The CNPS partners with staff and leadership to develop and implement standards, education programs, and policies, while serving as a clinical expert across the organization.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Nursing required.
• Doctorate in Nursing preferred.
• 5+ years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• RN license in Illinois required.
• BLS certification required.
• Current specialty certification; if none, certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical nursing expertise in area of nursing specialty with advanced skills.
• Assess and recommend education needs for role development.
• Provide staff support and guidance in patient care planning.
• Identify professional practice needs by data collection and analysis.
• Lead quality initiatives and implement change to improve outcomes.
• Serve as a source of evidence-based, cost-effective nursing practices and standards.
• Evaluate outcomes of nursing practice changes.
• Lead integration and evaluation of technology/products to promote safety and quality.
