Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist to provide expert nursing care across the Med-Surg population at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. This role supports education, mentorship, and evidence-based practice across the system.

The CNPS will lead nursing education, partner with leadership, and promote practice changes to improve patient outcomes and staff development. Travel to other Endeavor Health hospitals for meetings is required periodically.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Nursing is required.
• Doctorate in Nursing is preferred.
• 5+ years of clinical experience in a medical center or hospital.
• RN license in the state of Illinois.
• BLS certification required.
• Current nursing specialty certification; certification within one year if none.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility in work schedule.
• Ability to engage with an interprofessional healthcare team.
• Commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
• Presentation skills for education to audiences.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical nursing expertise in the area of specialty.
• Assess and identify education needs for role development.
• Support and guide staff in developing and/or modifying patient care plans.
• Identify professional practice needs by collecting and analyzing data.
• Lead quality initiatives and implement change to improve care.
• Promote evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.
• Evaluate outcomes of nursing practice changes.
• Lead integration and evaluation of technology to improve safety and outcomes.
