Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time, casual patient care technician to support the Emergency Department in Sheboygan. Shifts include 11:00–23:00, 14:00–02:00, and 19:00–07:00 with 24-hour schedule availability and occasional weekends. Duties include phlebotomy, patient transport, wound care, and monitoring, under supervision.

The role requires a High School diploma and 1 year of related experience. BLS certification and EMT/MA credentials are considered assets, along with basic EHR

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and basic patient care tasks.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and RNs with patient care including phlebotomy and wound care.
• Transport patients to other departments and position them safely.
• Document procedures and communicate observations to RNs.
• Process daily charges in the EHR and support team communications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with equipment checks.
