Job summary

Beverly Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks an ED Tech to assist nurses in the emergency department. Under RN supervision, you will perform delegated tasks, monitor vital signs, collect specimens, assist with ADLs, and support patient transport and safety.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, CNA/EMT-Basic preferred, and AHA BLS certification. Prior ED or acute care experience is valued, with a strong emphasis on infection control and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Nursing Assistant or EMT-Basic training preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support required.
• CNA or EMT-Basic certification or higher preferred.
• Basic math, reading and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients and assists with activities of daily living as delegated by RN.
• Measures and reports vital signs; assists with intake/output.
• Performs phlebotomy and point-of-care testing under supervision.
• Maintains infection control and safety practices; supports transport and turnover.
• Assists with patient meals, mobility, wound care and routine specimen collection.
