Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Tech (part-time) to support the fast-paced ED team. You will perform EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, and patient activities while assisting nurses and physicians to expedite patient flow and enhance care experiences.

Required is a High School diploma or GED, with EMT/Paramedic training preferred. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical EMT or Paramedic training preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, splinting and activities of daily living.
• Assists providers in care delivery and supports patients with physical/psychological limitations.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection; communicates results to staff.
