Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician (EDT) to assist with patient care under RN supervision. The EDT provides supportive care, helps with daily activities, and supports a safe, clean ED environment across day and night shifts.

Qualifications include 18+ years, English fluency, basic computer skills, and Wisconsin EMT-Basic license with current BLS. 36 hours per pay period; scheduled weekends every 3rd weekend and two holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years old prior to start date.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Decision making, problem solving, and strong communication skills; able to work in a team.
• Ability to perform duties in a self-directed manner.
• One year of EMT experience preferred; one year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Minimum Wisconsin EMT-Basic license; current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under the direct supervision of the registered nurse.
• Provide supportive care to Emergency Department patients and perform approved procedures per policy.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and help maintain a safe, clean environment.
