Mayo Clinic in Wisconsin is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (EDT) to support patient care under RN supervision. The EDT helps with daily living activities and supports ED patients while performing approved procedures in line with hospital policies.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Decision making and problem solving skills, spoken and written communication skills, and team building skills.
• Ability to perform duties in a self directed manner.
• One year of EMT experience preferred.
• One year acute care hospital experience preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum Wisconsin EMT-Basic license with current BLS certification.

Aufgaben

• The EDT assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the registered nurse. The EDT provides supportive care to the Emergency Department patients and performs approved procedures per policy. The EDT assists patients with activities of daily living and assists with the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
