Job summary

Meadville Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a full-time evening/night shift at Liberty Street Hospital in Meadville, PA. You will support nursing staff, assist in triage, and perform ED procedures under RN supervision.

Qualified candidates bring a high school diploma or equivalent, EMT/CNA/MA preferred, and current BLS. Prior data entry and familiarity with Meditech EHR are a plus; strong communication is essential to patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant preferred.
• Fluent knowledge of medical terminology.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider card.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff with patient care in the ED.
• Supports triage and direct patient treatment.
• Maintains aseptic technique and manages ED supplies.
• Operates Meditech EHR and assists in admissions.
• Assists with IV insertions and patient transports.
• Coordinates with physicians and departments to complete tests.
• Performs Ward Clerk duties as needed.
• Follows safety and infection-control standards.
