Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a qualified Emergency Department Technician for part-time, day shift (24 hours/week). Assists physicians and nurses in delivering care while performing procedures under supervision.

Completion of de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire and BLS within 90 days are required. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and EMT-B certification at time of hire, or approved alternative credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT-B state or national certification at time of hire OR US Military Hospital Corps School OR current student in clinical program with at least one semester completed.

Responsabilités

• Assist Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, or Nurses in implementing care plans for emergency/minor emergency patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Complete de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire; obtain BLS within 90 days of hire.
