Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (EDT) to support the ED team in providing patient-centered care under RN supervision. The EDT performs clinical tasks, monitors patient status, and assists with procedures in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 3+ years as PCA/MA/EMT with direct patient contact, and BLS certification. AVADE violence prevention certification is required as part of safety training.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience as PCA/MA/EMT with direct patient contact.
• Nursing student with one medical-surgical rotation or equivalent acute care experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical care under RN delegation per Ohio guidelines.
• Document observations and vital signs and report deviations.
• Assist with patient comfort, hygiene, and daily activities.
• Support with tubes, dressings, and specimen collection as directed by RN.
