Job summary

The Emergency Department Technician position at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Centennial (Frisco) supports fast-paced emergency care. Part-time nights, two 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends, supervised by Nursing Staff, involve direct patient care and basic clinical tasks.

You will collect vital signs, assist with mobility, perform phlebotomy, document care, and coordinate with nurses and physicians to ensure efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
• BLS certification or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and documents vital signs and data.
• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens for lab review.
• Supports patient mobility, toileting, feeding and comfort needs.
• Communicates with nurses, physicians and lab staff about patient care.
• Transports patients within the department.
