Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Centennial in Frisco is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support nursing staff. This role performs direct technical care, collects vital signs, assists with mobility, and helps with phlebotomy and specimen transport in a fast-paced ED.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, 1 year of experience, and a BLS certification (or within 30 days of hire). Night shifts are part of a three 12-hour rotation with rotating weekends; benefits and a sign-on

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and basic medical tasks.
• Collect data: vital signs, weight, and intake; document properly.
• Perform phlebotomy to obtain venous samples.
• Transport patients and supplies within the department.
• Educate patients and families and respond to concerns.
• Coordinate with nurses and physicians and follow protocols.
