Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to join our team. The ED Tech Level I provides safe, age-appropriate patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and supports the ED team with a variety of clinical tasks and transport duties.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Prior experience in acute care is helpful; candidates must be able to perform aseptic technique and operate

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills (verbal and written) required.
• Proficiency obtaining vital signs using manual processes required.
• Demonstrate willingness to be a team-player and a self-starter required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, age-appropriate care to patients as directed by RN.
• Perform vital signs, 12-lead EKG, bedside glucose testing, wound care, and splinting.
• Transport patients, supplies, equipment, and medications.
• Monitor patients and document observations per policy.
• Assist with aseptic technique and dressing applications.
