Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking caregivers to support patient care as part of the nursing team. You will assist with patient care under the supervision of licensed personnel, monitor vital signs, and help with transport and procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Required EMT credentials with preferred AEMT/Paramedic backgrounds; strong communication, confidentiality, and compassionate patient interactions are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have EMT technical degree or diploma.
• Preferred AEMT or Paramedic certification.
• Experience with patient care in a clinical setting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care as directed by the Charge/Registered Nurse.
• Monitor and document vital signs and report findings to nurse.
• Position patients for examinations and assist with transportation.
• Perform phlebotomy according to protocol and safety standards.
• Provide orthopedic services as ordered and demonstrate competent skills.
• Record clinical observations and assist with EKGs as required.
• Maintain professional practice and adhere to care team standards.
• Complete required competency trainings and unit-specific requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
