DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Emergency Room Technician performs various patient care activities and related non professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients Assists the professional nursing staff by performing any delegated duties specialized procedures and assists with care of seriously ill patients SUPERVISION Reports directly to Nurse Manager andor Charge Nurse

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Under the direction of the Licensed Nurse provides physical patient care in a safe manner
• Communicates abnormal variances of data vital signs pain etc to appropriate staff
• Consistently utilizes basic decision making skills to complete routine tasks
• Competently performs unit specific procedures

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
