Riverside Health System invites applications for an Emergency Technician in Smithfield, VA. You will assist physicians and RNs, perform EKGs, IVs, and phlebotomy, and support the ED team in delivering patient care across age groups.

Requires a high school diploma/GED with EMT/paramedic training preferred and 1 year EMT experience. Upon hire, EMT certification and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS may be required within set timelines.

Formación

• 1 year Emergency Technician experience (PRN status required).
• Active EMT certification required upon hire (NREMT/VDHP or US military equivalent accepted).
• BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS/PALS preferred/within timeframe.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates assessment ability using practice standards for the department.
• Notifies physician/team of variances in patient care using SBAR when applicable.
• Completes clinical documentation per RHS standards.
• Supports patient throughput and responds to needs with urgency.
• Builds collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support care.
