Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EMT/Paramedic training or program graduate preferred.
• 1 year Emergency Technician experience (PRN) required.
• EMT certification (NREMT/VDHP) upon hire or military equivalent.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and RNs in patient care, including invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Perform EKGs, IVs, phlebotomy and monitor patient status.
• Document per RHS standards and SBAR communications when applicable.
• Support patient throughput and respond to emergencies with urgency.
• Fill in as monitor tech as needed and collaborate with multi-disciplinary team.
