Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA is seeking an Emergency Technician/EMT to assist physicians and RNs in patient care across ED duties. Under supervision, you will perform invasive and non-invasive procedures, assist with EKGs, IVs, phlebotomy, and monitor patients as needed.

The role requires high school diploma and EMT training; CPR/BLS is required on hire, with ACLS/PALS preferred. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, timely care and support accurate

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or GED and EMT/Paramedic training (Preferred).
• EMT certification (NREMT) required or military medical experience in lieu of EMT.
• CPR/BLS certification required on hire; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Apply standards of practice and assess patient care needs in the ED.
• Recognize and respond to care variances; notify physician using SBAR as needed.
• Complete clinical documentation per RHS standards.
• Support patient throughput and create a safe care environment.
• Delegate and prioritize tasks to ensure all patient needs are met.
