Riverside Smithfield Hospital in Smithfield, VA is seeking a Part-Time Emergency Department Tech with Paramedic, Intermediate, or EMT credentials. The role supports physicians and nurses, performs EKGs, phlebotomy, and monitor tech duties as needed while ensuring patient safety. A high school diploma and EMT licensure are required with BLS/CPR and advanced certifications valued.

The position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to contribute to patient throughput in a busy ED.

Formación

• Education: high school diploma or GED required.
• EMT/Paramedic training required or preferred.
• 1 year Emergency Technician experience preferred for PRN status.
• EMT license (NREMT) or VDHP EMT/Paramedic required upon hire.
• CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or to be obtained.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians and RNs in patient care, including invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Support monitor tech duties as needed and document care per RHS standards.
• Maintain patient safety and compliance with safety goals and quality initiatives.
• Help with patient throughput and prioritize tasks to ensure timely care.
• Communicate with team using SBAR and escalate concerns to physicians.

CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (per hire)
