Job summary

Sentara Independence is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a full-time weekend day shift (Fri–Sun, 7am–7pm) to join our ED team in Virginia Beach. You will assist physicians and nurses, perform IVs, EKGs, and bedside procedures, and help prioritize patient flow in a busy emergency department.

Educational requirements include a HS Diploma and EMT-B certification (or equivalent). Prior Sentara ED tech experience is valued, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• EMT-B certification at time of hire or military equivalent
• Current students enrolled in a clinical program

Responsibilities

• Assist physician, advanced practitioner, or nurse in care plans
