Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA seeks an ED Tech I for part-time day shifts. You will assist physicians and nurses in implementing care plans, perform routine procedures, and support patient care in the ED. You will gain hands-on experience with labs, EKGs, and patient assessments in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and timely patient care. Training in de-escalation and BLS is required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• EMT-B certification at time of hire or equivalent.
• US Military Hospital Corps School completed.
• Current clinical student (RN/LPN/Resp/PT) with ≥1 semester completed.
• Past Sentara ED tech experience within 2 years may substitute for criteria.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, APPs, or nurses in implementing ED care plans.
• Perform procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Lab draws, EKGs, and assisting nurses and doctors.
