Job summary

Allina Health in Plymouth, MN is hiring Emergency Department Medical Technicians to provide rapid medical support and direct patient care in urgent situations. The role includes phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and training in durable medical equipment under RN supervision.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and the appropriate EMT/CNA and BLS certifications. Requires 18+ years old and availability for a 12-hour evening shift with every third weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent for positions utilizing i-STAT testing
• Experience in acute health care setting preferred
• 1+ experience in basic arrhythmia and EKG interpretation

Responsibilities

• Within scope of position, independently performs patient care with phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and education of durable medical equipment
• Under the direction of the RN, provides patient care including wound dressings, oxygen application, assisting with procedures and transports
• Contributes to a safe environment, responds to patient call lights, and participates in quality improvement activities
• May assist in rooming and transporting patients and support administrative duties
