Emergency Department Staff Nurse - AnMed Piedmont

Overview

The freestanding Emergency Department at AnMed Piedmont is a 10-bed unit dedicated to the initial evaluation and care of patients presenting with illness or injury. The department is staffed with a board-certified emergency physician and registered nurses, and it handles patients with varying acuities, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

Provides quality patient care in accordance with standards and guidelines established by AnMed's Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse works with the emergency team to deliver age-specific, individualized care, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The nurse works under the supervision of the Emergency Department charge nurse(s), administering treatment as ordered by physicians or providers, ensuring safe and effective care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years emergency care experience required.
• Emergency and Critical Care experience preferred.
• BSN preferred; ADN candidates must be enrolled in a BSN program within 18 months of hire and obtain their BSN within 4 years.
• Successful completion of BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within one year of hire.
• TNCC or BTLS certifications within one year of hire.
• Commitment to professional growth through diverse assignments, clinical development, and involvement in professional organizations.

Note: AnMed ADN nurses hired before January 1, 2013, who have continuously worked as acute care RNs, are grandfathered and are not required to obtain a BSN within four years.
