AnMed is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department in Anderson, SC. Position: Staff Registered Nurse
Hours per Week: 36 hrs/week, 11a-11p, every other weekend
The freestanding Emergency Department at AnMed Piedmont is a 10-bed unit dedicated to the initial evaluation and care of patients presenting with illness or injury. The department is staffed with a board-certified emergency physician and registered nurses, and it handles patients with varying acuities, illnesses, and injuries across all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Summary:
This role involves providing quality patient care in accordance with standards established by AnMed's Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse is a clinically competent professional working with the emergency department team to deliver age-specific, quality care. The nurse utilizes the nursing process to provide individualized care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to address patients' problems and needs. Under the supervision of the Emergency Department charge nurse(s), the RN administers treatments as ordered by physicians or providers, promoting safe and effective patient care.
Qualifications:
Note: AnMed ADN nurses hired before January 1, 2013, who have continued working as acute care staff nurses since then, are 'grandfathered' and are not required to obtain a BSN within four years.
