Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital in Southern California is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department and Telemetry units. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while teaching patients and families and coordinating with physicians and staff.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC, and have ER experience. BSN preferred; several certifications may be requested within timeframes. Nights shift with competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• The Registered Nurse guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel in Telemetry.
