Job summary

Chino Valley Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, provide direct patient care in Telemetry and ED, and guide patient/family teaching while coordinating with physicians.

Requirements include a current state RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC within specified timelines, and 1+ year ER or acute care experience. Evening shift; full-time status; competitive Total Rewards package.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in Telemetry and Emergency Department.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physician and document results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment response.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with regulations.
• Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting of abuse to appropriate agencies.
