Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Emergency Department is hiring an RN for the Night shift at New Brunswick. You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer care, document in EPIC, collaborate with physicians, and educate patients and families. A NJ RN license and BLS are required; ER experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
• 1 year of Emergency Room or acute care RN experience
• PALS, TNCC and ACLS certification preferred or obtainable within 6 months of employment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or must be completed within 5 years of hire

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening early
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately
• Accurately document within the EMR to promote continuity of care
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and coordinate care transitions
• Collaborate in a highly collaborative team environment with shared accountability
• Pursue continuing education and professional growth opportunities
