Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department, night shift, to provide comprehensive nursing care across the continuum in a high-pressure, 24/7 environment. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include delegating tasks to LPNs and UAPs, participating in quality and safety initiatives, and maintaining compliance with Ohio Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Active RN license issued by the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification.
• BSN required after 5 years of employment.
• Current RN license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care provided to assigned patients.
• Delegate nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
• Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
