Job summary

OhioHealth in the United States is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide specialized care in the Emergency Department. The role requires attention to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with responsibilities across assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient nursing care.

The RN will delegate tasks to licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel per Ohio Nurse Practice Act, and will contribute to 24/7/365 department coverage under the department policies.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of Ohio and a multi-state compact license, if applicable.
• BLS certification is required.
• BSN must be obtained within 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments.
• Documents planned nursing interventions to meet patient needs.
• Evaluates responses to interventions and revises care plans as needed.
• Participates in process improvement to improve clinical quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Supports ED operations as part of the multidisciplinary team.
