Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care medical-surgical experience or equivalent.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification; required within twelve months of hire.
• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification preferred, required within twelve months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients using the Nursing Process and ENA standards.
• Assess health status, analyze data and plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate care with physicians, PAs, technicians and specialty teams.
• Demonstrate patient advocacy and compassionate, culturally competent care.
• Participate in handoffs and infection control and safety protocols.
