Beth Israel Lahey Health's Milton Emergency Department is seeking a skilled registered nurse to deliver direct, patient‑centered emergency care in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You will work with physicians, PAs, and technologists to provide high‑quality, compassionate care while advocating for patients and families.

The role requires 1 year of acute care experience, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (PALS preferred, or must obtain within 12 months).

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care medical‑surgical experience required, emergency nursing experience preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred, required within twelve months of hire.
• Must pass basic medication knowledge test prior to hire and basic tele test by end of orientation.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct, patient‑centered emergency care across a wide range of conditions.
• Assess health status systematically and plan, implement, and coordinate nursing interventions.
• Collaborates with physicians, PAs, technicians, and specialty teams to ensure safe, timely care.
• Communicates nursing plans effectively and participates in all hand‑offs without exception.
• Upholds infection control, participates in mandatory education, and pursues ongoing professional development.
• Acts as patient advocate and coordinates care with a focus on cultural sensitivity and interpreters when needed.
