Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Milton, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a Per Diem, rotating schedule. You will provide direct, patient- and family-centered ED care, use the Nursing Process, and work with physicians, PAs, techs, and specialty teams to ensure safe, timely care.

This role requires a minimum of 1 year acute care experience; BLS is required, ACLS required, PALS certification preferred with certification within twelve months

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care medical-surgical experience.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, patient- and family-centered ED care across a wide range of conditions using the Nursing Process.
• Coordinate care with physicians, physician assistants, technicians, and other care team members.
• Collaborate with ED leadership, nurses, and departments to ensure safe, efficient care and timely handoffs.
• Follow ENA standards and hospital policies; participate in shift handoffs without exception (ED to inpatient, RN to MD).
• Demonstrate infection control adherence and ongoing professional development.
