Job summary

Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA is seeking Registered Nurses for our Emergency Department on a PRN basis. The ED RN will apply the nursing process in caring for patients across the lifespan.

You will interact with patients, families and health team members, using standard nursing procedures and clinical judgment. This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow within a community hospital that has served the area for over six decades.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state approved RN School of Nursing.
• Previous experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic knowledge of nursing process and principles.

The Emergency Department RN is under the general supervision of the Unit Director and with the authority of the Chief Nursing Officer, will apply nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation) in caring for patients. Effectively interact with patient, significant others, and other heath team members. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of state approved RN School of Nursing.

TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE
