Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain, OH, seeks a Clinical Nurse II to lead the Care Delivery Team in the Emergency Department. The CN II will direct nursing care for a defined patient group with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Precepts new staff and coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams.

Requires Ohio RN licensure, completion of orientation, and ACLS; 12 CE hours/year including CPR/Fire Safety. Full‑time schedule is 36 hours weekly with rotating days and evenings.

Qualifications

• State-accredited nursing school graduation.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• Complete orientation and probation.
• Maintain 12 contact hours of CE annually including CPR and Fire Safety; ACLS required.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Care Delivery Team and coordinate nursing care for a group of patients.
• Direct care with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Precept new employees as assigned and supervise licensed practical nurses and patient care assistants.
